• The Charter for East San Diego Masonic Lodge #561 was granted on June 22, 1923 by the Grand Lodge of California; M.W. Brother William A.
Sherman, Grand Master.
• W.Brother Walter L. Kirby installed First Master of E.S.D.
• Brothers George Russell and Fred Lane installed Senior and Junior Wardens, respectively.
• Original Lodge location; corner of 43rd St. and University Ave.
• Groundbreaking Ceremonies - November 5, 1972 for E.S.D. Masonic Temple ~ 7849 Tommy Drive; Brother Donald F. Craig, Master.
• 50yr Cornerstone - August 11, 1973; Ceremony led by M.W. Brother William H. Price, Grand Master; Brother Donald S. Young, Master.
